Hello, and welcome to Eating and Expecting, a research study being conducted by researchers at Oxford Brookes University. We are interested in the types of food and beverages women in the UK eat and drink whilst pregnant.

By taking part in this survey you will be providing important information which is needed to improve advice and support for women during pregnancy. But before we can provide women with the best dietary advice and support during pregnancy, it is important to get information from as many women and as wide a range of women as possible.

As a token of gratitude for taking part, you will have the option to be entered into a prize draw to win one of five £50 Amazon vouchers. You will need to provide your email address at the end of the survey so we can contact you if you are a winner.

The questionnaire should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

All information provided is treated as strictly confidential and all data is stored securely. Any reports that are written up will present grouped findings, so it will not be possible to identify any individuals from reports arising from the study.

You are eligible to take part if you are:

   1) 16 years or older

   2) currently pregnant

   3) live in the UK

   4) do not currently suffer from diabetes or hyperemesis gravidarum

We would also like to interview a small number of women, who have completed the questionnaire, about how they make choices about food and drink during pregnancy. We will give you a £10 voucher as a token of our appreciation. For more information about this click here.

Please read our participant information page for further details on the study before you decide to take part.

Thank you!
